Dr. Jay Branchaud
I was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota. I have lived most of my life in Nebraska. I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I received my B.S. in Life Sciences in 1979.
My dental training started at the University of Nebraska Medical Center-College of Dentistry in Lincoln, where I received my DDS in 1983. It continues with ongoing continuing education in such as areas as implant and cosmetic dentistry.
I have been married to my wife, Bev, since 1981 and have two kids, Josh and Stephanie, and three cats. In my spare time, I enjoy remodeling projects around the home and office, basketball, and working out.
Dr. Carlye Travis
I was born in Germany, as my father was a dentist in the United States Army at the time of my birth, but have lived in Nebraska for most of my life. Growing up around the dental profession sparked my interest in dentistry at a young age.
I attended Texas Christian University, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1996. From there, I attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry and received my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2000. After graduating, I moved to Omaha where I have been practicing ever since.
My practice focus is on general family dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. My practice philosophy is to be as conservative as possible with the restorations I recommend. I believe in working with patients to keep their natural teeth for a lifetime. Whenever reasonable, I will suggest treatment that will help maintain the natural teeth and conserve tooth structure. However, sometimes it is more conservative to provide extensive treatment to save a tooth than to loose a tooth.
When working with patients to form a treatment plan, I will begin by recommending the treatment that I would personally want for myself. In dentistry there are often many different treatment alternatives so I also educate the patient on the pros and cons of the treatment alternatives. Once the patient has all the information I let the patient decide what is in his or her own best interest.
There are many dentists in Omaha for patients to choose from so I feel it is an honor when a patient chooses me as their dentist. With cooperation and commitment from my patients we can work together to maintain a healthy smile for a lifetime.
